Meme: What’s in a Name?
Here’s a fun MeMe from LethalEuphoria’s site. It’s kind of a do-it-yourself name generator.
1. My rock star name (first pet and current car)
Wimpy Stratus
Sigh….
2. My gangsta name (ice cream flavour and cookie or biscuit)
Cookie Dough Oreo
If I used this in my neighborhood, the other gangstas would laugh their heads off. Right before they killed me.
3. My fly girl name (first letter of first name, first three letters of last name)
M-McQ
4. My detective name (favourite colour, favourite animal)
Blue Otter
Wow- it sounds like a pulp fiction detective. I’m glad I wasn’t the Mauve Gerbil.
5. My soap opera name (middle name, city of birth)
Gail Tampa
I’ve always disliked being a Tampan.
6. My Star Wars name (first three letters of your last name, first two of your first name)
McQ Mo
Like this name, I do.
7. My superhero name (second favourite colour, favourite drink, add “the”)
The Red Tea
It really should be “The Red Sweetened Iced Tea,” but I shortened this one.
8. My Nascar name (first two names of my two grandfathers)
Melvyn Alan
I think that this actually sounds more like a serial killer.
9. My stripper name (favourite perfume, favourite sweet)
Delicious Truffle
Again, I had to shorten this. It was “DK BeDelicious Lindsor Dark Chocolate Truffle.”
10. My witness protection name (mother’s and father’s middle names)
Ann David
Crap. Now everyone knows.
11. My weather anchor name (fifth grade teacher’s name, a major city beginning with the same letter)
Joyce Juneau
This teacher was a nightmare. She spent the first half of the day bragging about herself and her miraculously flawless family; the second half being mean and bitchy.
12. My spy name (favourite season/flower)
Spring Sweetpea
I’m starting to feel like a wimp here.
13. Cartoon name (favourite fruit plus garment you’re wearing, with an “ie” or “y” added)
Clementine Shoey
If you aren’t familiar with Clementines, they’re these little, juicy, delicious oranges. I could eat them buy the boatload.
14 Hippie name (what you ate for breakfast plus favourite tree)
Chicken with Cashew Nuts Japanese Maple
Wow. I wish I’d had granola.
15. Your rockstar tour name (favourite hobby plus weather element, with “the”)
The Painting Sunshine
I’m going to add one more here:
16: Blues singer name (a disability, a fruit or vegetable, and a president)
Blind Pumpkin Jefferson
Tag– You’re it!
Little Miss at Little Miss Sew n Sew
A Barclay12 from The Leaky Brain
Alyson at Welcome to Wherever You Are
It’s optional, of course, but I’d love to see your answers. Have fun!

and I thought for sure you were going to be Pickle Something WHY oh WHY did you have to be Chicken with Nuts (ps… chickens don’t have nuts. ALTHOUGH, i work in retail customer service, and a woman tried to return a rotisserie chicken – her claim? it had testicles)
i LOVE the Blues Singer addition.
thanks for completing this… LOVED your answers and addendum.

@ LE: Chicken testicles! Hilarious!
I’m sitting here eating a pickle right now. I had to have it for dinner, since we had Chinese food again last night (score!) and of course this means leftovers for breakfast. It was actually shrimp with cashew nuts and chicken, but that name was just getting out of hand!
Thanks for posting this meme. It was a lot of fun!

All you’re names seem a bit wimpy, especially the first two… I don’t think you have a career in either of those industries.

@ leaf: They’re crazy wimpy. I’m very depressed about this. I need a better car, and more macho taste in ice cream and cookies. And had I known I’d be doing this forty something years later, I never would have named my first dog Wimpy.

I’m in the middle of transcribing a tape for my next post, but I’ll do the MeMe by Saturday. I love having an assignment.
